ri-toast:
It really freaks me out that people think body hair is unsanitary. Like y'all are just so brainwashed if you believe that body hair is perfectly normal and fine on men, but on women its suddenly dirty? Use your critical thinking skills for a few damn seconds, I’m begging you.
Also telling that somehow having hair on our heads is not unsanitary.
The same people who demand we shave do not demand we include our heads.
We wash the hair on our heads and that makes it clean and so why would washing the hair on our bodies not also make it clean?
I have been told time and time again about how body hair makes one unsanitary and yet I am cleaner due to it.
My arms and legs do not collect as much debris or insects because my hair protects me.
I no longer have nearly constant UTIs (that nearly cost me my kidneys) due to shaving my vulva.
My sweat doesn’t pour out of my armpits and then down my sides because my hair wicks it away from me.
That doesn’t even mention all of the time and money I save or all of the cuts and ingrown hairs and micro abrasions I avoid or the genuine discomfort of not having body hair and all the uncomfortable stages of it growing back in that I no longer deal with.
You hair is there for a reason, it is not abnormal, it is not unkempt, it is not unsanitary.
